Thanks to Style court I discovered two great things, the fabulous shop Paris Hotel Boutique (they have a fabulous vintage book collection as well as many other gorgeous items) and the wonderful story of Osa Johnson. The first book about her life is I MARRIED ADVENTURE and the second is FOUR YEARS IN PARADISE. The titles alone are exciting let alone their beautiful presentation. I can't wait to get the books. Not only for birthing my photography career but for the beauty of nature and feeling of adventure! Osa Johnson and the story of her adventures with the famous George Eastman (yes of Eastman Kodak!) reminds me of my favorite movie of all time, OUT OF AFRICA. Aren't these pictures just fabulous!

I am so glad to find your site. Wonderful and informative post on Osa Johnson. I think her life and work is really inspiring a new generation.
Well I really must have this book now. It is getting such a lot of blogging press. Thanks for sharing. I got the chance to go to Africa. I took my daughter on Safari for her 19th birthday (lucky girl) and we have so many wonderful memories of it.
I really need to get a copy of those books now!
