OohLaLa just like pape sandals!

I think these shoes look fabulous. I know everyone has been trying to find those Brazilian pape lace up sandals all summer, well here is something just as good if not better. I don't know about you but I have really narrow feet and finding sandals that fit is nearly impossible. I am going to order a pair of these and see how they are. Aren't they adorable!!! They are made by a company in Chicago called Mohop Shoes, a new pair of shoes everyday. I found them on Trunkt. Incredibly, each pair of shoes is made by hand.



From the website:

"Annie makes each pair of shoes by hand at her studio in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Mohop shoes are composed of rubber soling made from recycled tires, a Finnish birch plywood core, and topped with various select veneers. These components are laminated together and pressed on molds that Annie designed and fabricated herself. The graphics on the footbed of the sandals are Annie's original designs, which she screen-prints by hand at Chicago's legendary Screwball Press. Annie takes care to use the most environmentally-friendly woods, glues, sealers and inks that she can source."

Bueller Designs goes Turquoise!

If you are in town NEXT weekend please come down and join us for First Fridays in Venice. I will be showing my photography at Turquoise on the corner of Abbot Kinney and Venice Blvd. Vanessa has a fabulous store featuring vintage furniture at an affordable price. I got my beautiful pony lamps (featured below) this past weekend. Turquoise as well as the rest of the stores on Abbott Kinney will be open late. My work will be up from Friday to Sunday. I am so excited about my new vintage pony lamps that I got over the weekend at Turquoise in Venice. Vanessa has the most wonderful store that is beautifully laid out with her fantastic designers eye. Her rooms are such an inspiration. You can see them on her website here however I highly recommend visiting in person if you are in town.

OohLaLa! I want to be outdoors!

I have summer fever and the nights are warm. These backyards and outdoor spaces are just wonderful. They leave me dreaming of summer parties and cocktails, cold sangria and BBQs with friends, family, etc.! Can't you just feel the warm breeze!

I don't think I'd ever get out of bed if I had one of these bedrooms. Especially if it was air conditioned. I just got a portable air conditioner for my bedroom and there is nothing more refreshing than walking into a cool room on a 100 degree day! These are all from Cottage Living.
